ABOUT US
The Erie Free Store began as an idea from our Coordinator, Breanna Adams. Inspired and influenced by Free Store 15104 in Braddock, Pa., Breanna knew that there was a need in the Erie community to provide clothing and housewares - free of charge - to those who needed it. Since we opened in November 2016, we've served hundreds of families, and also found a place for gently-used items donated by our friends in the community.
The store is run by an all-volunteer force of students and adults. If you'd like to join us, find more information here.
In 2019, we incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and are now served by an all-volunteer Board of Directors:
